I'm a Senior Product Designer supporting PayPal's enterprise merchant segment on the Merchant UX team. I craft design solutions across product verticals and individual capabilities to deliver best-in-class omnichannel commerce experiences.
Before merging into the PayPal design team, I was a Product Design Lead for Braintree, a former PayPal subsidiary. Before Braintree, I served in design leadership positions with dscout and Base (Acquired by Zendesk) during large growth periods for each company. Before that, I helped newly funded startups get their MVPs to market at Doejo, and designed print and digital things for Crate&Barrel, JAK Graphic Design, and freelance projects.
The focus of my work is empowering customers at the intersection of technology and design. I believe that delivering great experiences is a team effort, so I actively sit side-by-side with engineering teams, looking to them as partners in the design process and working closely together, even contributing to the codebase, to deliver solutions to the customer. My leadership style is personally casual yet professionally earnest with a "whatever it takes" attitude. I am known for close collaboration on teams I work with, bridging design, product, engineering, and business priorities to deliver delightful end-to-end experiences that solve customer needs.
I'm a dad to Evelyn and Alex, husband, dog lover, snow sculptor, wannabe Yooper, and weekend coffee enthusiast outside of my work life. I'm native to Chicago's south side, where tavern-style pizza reigns supreme. I currently live in the Beverly neighborhood and spend summers in the north woods of Michigan, living the lake life.
